Hiya Children’s Day Event 2023

A group of enthusiastic youths from the Hiya area recently took the initiative to celebrate Hiya Children's Event 2023 in Hulhumale.

Spearheaded by the Maldives National Housing Association in collaboration with TheCommoners this event aimed to bring joy and excitement to the children of the community.

With the generous support of donors, sponsors, and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) of Maldives, the event turned out to be a resounding success.

Thanks to the collective efforts of the organizers and the support received, hundreds of thousands of ruffiya worth of gifts were secured to delight the children attending the event.

Additionally, numerous children's game outlets were set up, providing a fun and engaging experience for the young attendees. Around 20 game stalls, including popular activities such as musical chairs, were prepared to ensure a memorable day for all.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the captivating performances that took place on the performance stage. Notable among them were the talented Maldivian Idol Winner, Shalabee, and the renowned entertainer known as "Robo Man."

Their electrifying performances captivated the audience and added an extra touch of excitement to the event.

Although the event experienced a slight delay in its starting hour, the anticipation and enthusiasm among the attendees remained unwavering.

As the clock struck the revised opening time, an estimated 3,000 people, including parents with their children, gathered at the venue, eager to participate in the games and compete for the attractive gift prizes.

Throughout the event, the air was filled with laughter, cheers, and the sound of children's excitement. Families reveled in the festive atmosphere as they explored the various game stalls, trying their luck and displaying their skills.

The event created an opportunity for children to showcase their talents, interact with their peers, and create lasting memories.

The festivities continued until the time of the Maghrib prayer call, allowing everyone ample time to enjoy the event to the fullest.

The organizers ensured a smooth and well-coordinated flow of activities, ensuring that the event remained engaging and entertaining for all attendees.

This event marked a significant milestone in the history of Children's Day celebrations in Hulhumale phase two as it surpassed all previous records in terms of scale and participation.
